Jazz Originals KBEM radio show live at Copeland's Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
Wednesday, 31 March 2004
Dear patiently waiting friends:

On Thursday, March 18th I will open the 2004 season of my Jazz Originals radio show with a live session at Copeland's Famous New Orleans Restaurant. The show starts at 7 pm, and the usual suspects will be there, including our suave producer, Craig Eichhorn, and my mysteriouis cousin, Buster Thompson. The show starts promptly at 7 pm.

If you haven't caught the show at Copeland's before, it's at 7th St. and Hennepin Ave., across from Block E in downtown Minneapolis. This is a stone's throw from where I started my professional career with the Hall Brothers band at the long-gone Brady's Bar. Copeland's has a full New Orleans menu and a full bar, and if you mention you're there to see my show, they'll validate your parking ticket from the adjacent City Center lot/garage. And, as usual, there is NO COVER OR MINIMUM for this performance.

The Jazz Originals show is broadcast weekly on Jazz88, KBEM radio, 88.5 FM on Sundays at 6 p.m. and Tuesdays (repeat) at 11 p.m. You can also catch it in streamed audio (real time only) by going to butchthompson.com and following the clearly marked link.

It's easy to find the place, but if you want more information, phone Copeland’s at 612-341-2445.

Thanks,

Butch
