Josh Workman, Thursday, September 7 Speaking of Josh Workman, here he is leading his own ensemble. Workman has been blazing his way through just about every spot on the jazz map since he first started performing in North Beach bars at the tender age of ten. He's earned a name as one of the Bay Area’s most fiery and versatile players during a career in which he's played jump blues with swing band Indigo Swing, gypsy jazz with the Hot Club of San Francisco, funk with New York's Groove Collective, world music with D’Vash and bop with Larry Vuckovich.
