The evening begins with an ambient solo set by Mike Kota featuring guitar, vocals, and healing frequency singing bowls. For the second set, Kota will be joined by drummer Tarek Abdelqader, guitarist Nate Walker, and bassist Henry Breen.

Mike Kota is a Minnesotan indie singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer. She holds a mirror to herself through music, and her thoughtful lyrics and soulful melodies bring about introspection, alchemy, and empowerment. Taking influence from King Krule to Bon Iver to bossanova, Kota’s guitar is rooted in jazz voicings and indie-rock progressions, without conforming neatly to a genre.
