• February 23-25, Tuesday Night Band at the Artists Quarter. Free if you have a Winter Jazz Festival pass, otherwise $10 for a rare weekend jam with the B-3 Organ trio.

• February 16-17, Starry Eyed Lovelies at the Dakota Jazz Club ($12, 8 pm). The most cutting edge of them all—Michael Lewis, Anthony Cox, Dean Granros and Dave King.

• February 25, St Paul Winter Music Festival/Jazz Fest at Landmark Plaza, downtown St. Paul (1 – 8 pm). A pass for $25 will get you into the main tent to hear Joey DeFrancesco. Also catch Tanner Taylor’s Oscar Peterson Tribute and other small ensembles, big bands, and youth groups at venues in the immediate vicinity.

• February 25, Frank Morgan & Joanne Brackeen at the Dakota Jazz Club (7 & 9 pm; $35/$25). Third in his duo series, alto legend meets keyboard giant.
