The 25thannual Cape May Jazz Festival Honoring Little Jimmy Scott runs April 21-23, 2006. This year's line-up will be featuring Little Jimmy Scott and Jazz Expressions, Hugh Masekela, Billy Paul, Carmen Lundy, Mike Stern, Eric Lewis, Nancy Kelly, Willie Martinez and La Familia, Edgardo Cintron, Greg Skaff, Joe Baione, Elio VillaFranca with Denise King, Keisa Brown and the Rolling Thunder Band, Sharon Clarke, Point Blank, Frank Bey and Willie Roundtree, Big James Montgomery and the Chicago Playboys, Steve Guyger, Tony doRosario, Sherry Wilson Butler and Jams, Blues Jam, Latin Jam, Family Concert with Cape May Youth All Stars, and complimentary workshops: voice, guitar, saxaphone, percussion and improvisation for beginners and more advanced participants.

The festivals offer acoustic jazz in mostly intimate small club settings featuring nationally prominent straight-ahead jazz musicians along with prominent musicians from the mid-Atlantic region and the State of New Jersey.

The festivals promise festival-goers the best acoustic jazz in intimate settings which create high energy between the musicians and the audience. Co-founder Woody Woodland says, "To witness and see the satisfaction and approval shown in the applause and reception by the audience makes me realize that we are staying committed to our goal and devotion to the perpetuation of jazz as an art form."
