'Morph The Cat', the eagerly anticipated new solo album from Steely Dan co-founder Donald Fagen, will release in the UK on Monday March 13th and in North America on Tuesday March 7th. Donald Fagen will celebrate the release with a solo tour of North America. Fagen will perform in 18 cities in the US and Canada in March, starting on the 1st March at the State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey (See complete list of cities and venues below). For more info and to order tickets for Donald Fagen's North America Tour, visit the official Donald Fagen website at www.donaldfagen.com.

Featuring nine new songs written and arranged by Fagen, 'Morph The Cat' is the multi-Grammy winning artist's first solo album since 1993's 'Kamakiriad' and the final installment in a musical trilogy that originally began with the release of 'The Nightfly' in 1982. "'The Nightfly' is sort of looking from the standpoint of youth," Fagen explains. "'Kamakiriad' would be more about midlife. This new one is about endings, really." Image 'Morph The Cat' was recorded in New York City and Kauai, Hawaii. The album features an extraordinary line-up of backing musicians, many of who have previously worked with Fagen and his Steely Dan partner Walter Becker on stage and in the studio. Included are drummer Keith Carlock, bassist Freddie Washington and guitarists Hugh McCracken, Jon Herington and Wayne Krantz. Fagen performs lead and backing vocals and plays keyboards.

Donald Fagen's North American solo tour starts on 1st March at the State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The album's American release date coincides with a hometown show at New York City's prestigious Beacon Theater. Fagen last toured with Steely Dan in 2003, when they released the critically acclaimed studio album 'Everything Must Go'.
