Quartet performs on Tuesday December 20th at ZEBULON. 258 Wythe
Ave (Metropolitan & N.3rd) Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
A Melodic journey in improvised music feauring Omar Kabir on
Brass, Norbert Stachel on Woodwinds, Jaribu Shahid on Bass, Lloyd
Haber on Percussion.
Formed in New York City, 1991 by Lloyd Haber. The Groups diverse ethnic
and compositional structure is a breath of fresh air needed to
represent the jazz scene in the new millennium. “Our purpose is to
explore and create in depth, the limitless dimensions of the art form.”
F.A.Q. Perform in various clubs, art galleries, and colleges.
Festivals include: The Heineken Jazz Festival, The Fire Wall festival,
and the UVA Jazz Festival. The Freedom Art Quartet was selected to
appear on “NYC Disk Makers Best of the unsigned Bands” Compilation CD.
Their music also appeared in the independent film from New Line Cinema,
“Happenstance.”
