Bassist Buster Williams has been at the forefront of his
instrument for over 40 years. His skills as a bassist and composer have
been utilized by many jazz legends including Herbie Hancock, Dexter
Gordon, Jimmy Heath, Nancy Wilson, Shirley Horn, The Jazz Crusaders and
the list goes on and on. As a leader Buster has recorded over 10 CD's
and has appeared with his group throughout North America, Europe, and
Japan. There are few players in jazz who have the depth and experience
of Buster Williams. In addition to his recordings as a sideman and
leader, he has worked in film, and has appeared on national television
on numerous occasions.
Photo by Andrea Canter Stefon Harris is a native of Albany, New York. The

various awards from Jazz Times, Downbeat, Jazziz, the Jazz Journalists
Association.

Orchestra, and at the North Sea and Umbria Jazz Festivals, as well as
tours of South Africa,
Brazil, and Europe. Among his recording credits include partnerships
with Max Roach, Wynton Marsalis, Cassandra Wilson,

Included in the 60 or so recordings that George appears on are 11 that
he has released as a leader for the Steeplechase and Fresh Sound
labels. The most recent Steeplechase recording is A Wish, a duo session
with Danish bass player Jesper Bodilsen. Como la Vida Puede Ser was recently
released on the Fresh Sound Label and features Flamenco and Latin
influenced original compositions.
Lenny White, along with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Al Di
Meola, helped define Jazz-Fusion with the Grammy Award winning group,
Return To Forever. 1968 was the year the great Jackie McLean asked an
18 year old Lenny to be a part of his band. The two drummers Jackie had
employed right before Lenny were Tony Williams and Jack DeJohnette.
Lenny was baptized in 1969 as a teenager on the landmark recording Bitches Brew with Miles Davis. That
recording helped change the face of music for the next 30 years. He was
also on trumpeter Freddie Hubbard's famous Red Clay along with greats Herbie
Hancock, the late great Joe Henderson and Ron Carter. Lenny has been a
