Referred to as “the great performer,” Lewis first captivated the world's attention with the release of his first album, "Ramsey Lewis and The Gentlemen of Swing". By 1965, he had become one of the nation's most successful jazz pianists, releasing chart toppers such as “Hang on Sloopy”. Lewis’ impeccable performance style and wide display of musical selections, has earned him the respect of his peers and critics alike. Incorporating his early gospel experience and classical training, along with his love of jazz and other musical forms, Lewis is truly a brilliant virtuoso.
