ImageMusicians were recognized on February 13th 2005 when the 47th annual Grammy Awards were presented by the Grammy Foundation. Ray Charles & Norah Jones won record of the year for Here We Go Again from "Genius Loves Company". (Click here for a list of all jazz nominations). In Blues, Etta James and Keb' Mo' won awards for best traditional blues record and best contempory blues record respectively.

This years winners in the Jazz categories include:

  • The Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album  Grammy awarded to Concert In The Garden by Maria Schneider Orchestra [ArtistShare].
  • The Best Contemporary Jazz Album Grammy awarded to Unspeakable by Bill Frisell.
  • The Best Jazz Vocal Album Grammy awarded to R.S.V.P. (Rare Songs, Very Personal) by Nancy Wilson.
  • The Best Jazz Instrumental Solo  (For an instrumental jazz solo performance)  Grammy awarded to Speak Like A Child by Herbie Hancock, soloist Track from: With All My Heart (Harvey Mason).
