TONI GATES is a Kansas City area vocal artist, lyricist and composer who began her singing career in the comforts of her own home. Toni's professional experiences include being a church soloist, recording radio commercials, touring as lead vocalist with a big band, singing in cabaret shows, fronting jazz combos and uniting with others in traditional choral and vocal jazz ensembles. She has had the great fortune to hone her craft during visits to Florida, Chicago, the Caribbean and London. Meeting individuals such as Barbara Cook, Clark Terry and Nancy Wilson have encouraged her to continue listening and growing to become a well-rounded musician.

Toni has worked in many faculties: high school vocal jazz, music theory and choral instructor, grant writer, volunteer coordinator, master conductor, and now, with the release of Outside the Lines, songwriter can be added to her list of accomplishments.

For more information about Ms. Gates's original catalogue of works visit her official website: www.ToniGates.com.
