ImageTwin Cities guitarist Dean Granros is a musical Jekyll and Hyde, mild mannered when he takes the stage and settles into the groove but eventually he will play like a madman taking the music where no sane person would and then makes it beautiful when he gets there. With solid chops and a jazz sensibility, this player demonstrates mastery of his craft and the music. Granros blends the vocabulary of bebop, acid rock, and delta blues into a delightful and potent cocktail that may leave you shaken or stirred.

Dean can be heard with a number of groups in the Twin Cities. He has a weekly gig with the band How Birds Work at the Artists' Quarter in Saint Paul Wednesdays. They have been working that gig for well over a year and just released the fruit of their labor, a CD titled "Live at the Artists' Quarter".

Dean also recorded his own trio Live at the Mercury with George Cartwright.

Critical Acclaim

"Whenever I can get to play with Dean Granros, I do," George Cartwright said. "To me, Dean is world class."
