"Jazz is in the sound. Jazz is in the rhythm. And jazz is in the legacy of the music being passed along from musician to musician, and generation to generation. It is our duty, honor, and pleasure to be part of this thread in the fabric of jazz music." - Peter Erskine

Winedale Tavern, 2110 Greenville Avenue, Dallas TX, 214-823-5018

The De Capo Jazz and Blues Lovers Guide to the U.S. says - Trendy Greenville Avenue has lost most of its live music haunts to yup-scale danceterias and persnickety restaruants. Along with Poor David's and Muddy Waters (just down the street at 1518 Greenville Ave.), this 20-year-old neighborhood bar is one of the last venues on the street to offer live jazz and blues. Don't go, though, if you don't want to get to know the person drinking next to you. At 30 feet wide and 80 feet long, this shtogun-style bar forces intimacy. Music nightly, jazz on Sundays.
