Balcony Club, 1825 Abrams, Dallas TX 214-826-8104. Live jazz nightly.

The Da Capo Jazz and Blues Lover's Guide to the U.S. says - "Both classy and a classic, the Balcony Club is a well-heeled but warm and cozy piano bar attached at the hip of the historic Lakewood Theater. Balcony mainstay pianist Al Dupree, whose hair is as white as the ice in his drink, plays old and new school jazz-both solo and with a two-piece band-Thursday through Saturday. Various locals such as the Arthur Riddles Trio and Rick Yost fill in the weekday slots. The bar up front can get rowdy, shile the tables in the back suit those who'd rather disappear.
