Green Mill, 4802 North Broadway, 773-878-5552

The Green Mill is the oldest nightclub in Chicago (1907) and was once owned by one of Al Capone's henchmen, Machine Gun Jack McGurn. There is quite a bit of colorful history surrounding the place.

The club has developed an international reputation and showcases the talents of Patricia Barber on Monday nights and Kurt Elling on Wednesday nights. National acts are usually booked two to three weekends a month and the best of the local scene play there the rest of the time.
