Rossi's Blue Star Room 9th and Marquette in downtiown Website Lewis at RBS photo by Don Berryman

Rossi's Blue Star Room has the feel of a 30's speak-easy, with brick walls and red and white checkered tablecloths. It is in the basement of the Metro Building on 9th and Marquette in Downtown

Rossi's is a steak-house and tavern with a Jazz Club called the Blue Star room. There are blue velvet curtains behind the stage. The bar has lights under it and gives the place a nice glow from the indirect lighting. One odd thing, the sound board is mounted on the wall behind the curtains, so adjustments are made in front of everyone.

Rossi's feature Live Jazz seven nights a week including local artists and national stars like Cassandra Wilson, Harry Connick Jr., Diane Shurr, etc. The place gets a little smoky on average nights, but many national acts are smoke free.
